Cursive Font Generator
Type a line and see it in script. The two cursive alphabets are at the top, thin and bold, and the rest of the styles sit below in case you change your mind.
This swaps your letters for special characters. It is not a font file, and some screen readers read it badly, so keep it to decoration.

The line Hello, world, in this style:
Where these letters came from
Both alphabets were added to Unicode for mathematicians, who use script capitals for things like the L in a Laplace transform. People noticed the shapes looked like handwriting and began pasting them into bios. That is the whole history.
Thin or bold
The thin script looks better large and gets fragile when it is small. The bold script holds together at any size and is the one to use for a line in a bio. Neither one joins its letters. They are cursive in shape, not in behaviour.
The letters with a different past
A few letters in the thin script are older symbols that already existed before the script alphabet was added: B, E, F, H, I, L, M and R, plus e, g and o. They look right nearly everywhere. If one letter seems to be written in a slightly different hand, that is the reason. Bold script has no patches like that.
Where it goes wrong
Chat apps and profiles take it happily. Usernames, email addresses and file names often do not. And nobody searching for your name will find it, because to a search engine these are different characters from the ones you typed. Do not use script for anything you want found.
Questions
Is this a real cursive font?
No. Real cursive fonts join their letters and are installed as files. This is a set of separate letter shapes that happens to look similar.
Why does one capital look different from the others?
Several script capitals were already in Unicode as stand-alone symbols, so the generator uses those. Same design, different address.
Will my friends see it properly?
On phones and computers from the last several years, usually. Older ones may draw boxes. That page explains why.
