Small Caps Generator
Type a line and the lowercase letters become small capitals. Everything else stays as it was.
This swaps your letters for special characters. It is not a font file, and some screen readers read it badly, so keep it to decoration.

What changes
Lowercase letters turn into small capitals. Capitals, digits and punctuation are left alone, so the capital that starts a sentence stays full size while the rest shrinks.
Two awkward letters
Unicode has no small capital x, so x stays an ordinary x. The small capital q exists only as a recent addition that many fonts lack, so the generator uses a look-alike, a small o with a tail, which reads as q in context.
Borrowed from phonetics
These letters come from phonetic alphabets and not from typography, so their spacing and weight can look a little uneven next to ordinary letters.
On a web page, use the real thing
If you are building a site, CSS does true small caps without changing the text: font-variant: small-caps. The words stay ordinary letters for search and for screen readers.
Questions
Why does my x look normal?
There is no small capital x in Unicode, so the generator leaves it alone.
Why is the q a different shape?
The proper small capital q is missing from many fonts, so a look-alike avoids empty boxes.
How do I make a whole sentence small caps?
Type it in lowercase. Capital letters stay full size.
